Trans Liberation & Future Possibility Models This kick-off session will introduce specific lenses of liberation to participants. We'll discuss lessons in building sustainable possibility models for trans women of color, particularly those who have come out of the prison industrial complex. We will discuss the ways trans women of color can organize around housing equality, the unique challenges trans women of color face coming out of the criminal injustice system, and how we can utilize the power of social media and mutual aid to fund a grassroots movement for liberation justice. A State of Affairs: Reproductive Rights, Gender Affirming Care & Post Roe Vs. Wade This conversation continues to build on conversations about where trans communities are going and what's at stake for trans women of color in the fight for equality. We'll listen to well-respected national Black trans women leaders as they discuss relevant current updates, policies, and gender affirming and reproductive rights legislation that are making an impact on our communities. This conversation serves as an informal "part-two" to our "What's At Stake" town hall convo in March 2022. Trans BIPOC Organizers on the Ground: Recentering on the Bad-A** Work in our Regions This conversation will center on regional trans BIPOC leaders doing bad-ass organizing. Learn from these folks about the work that's been going on at their organizations and within their programs. We'll leave time for questions and conversation to dive into this meaningful work. Summit Icebreakers & Participant Check-In: Building the Momentum The summit hosts will be joined by special guests to facilitate a community check-in and greet folx as they enter the space and have activities planned to uplift our attendees. We will also present a slideshow to uplift some phenomenal new activists & leaders among women of color of trans experience and established leaders. Working 9 to 5 (& The After Hours Hustle....) This convo will be teased out by the presenters but will dive into a specific focus on the ground in Houston, Texas, as well as how these issues are impacting the more significant conversations around trans employment, sex work, solicitation, and criminalization, housing stability and the epidemic of violence impacting Black & Brown trans women of color. Signature Keynote: Muvahs & Daughtas This ain't mommy dearest! Our keynote panel will be a heartfelt, hilarious, and real inter-generational dialogue between trans mamas, aunties, elders, and our daughters
We will explore how we structure our trans-maternal relationships, discussing the highs and lows of our lives as we raise each other as trans women, and what we learn from each other as older and younger trans people of color. TPOC mothers, aunties, and daughters will talk about how find joy and build family outside of the white cis patriarchy. Panelists will include real life muvah & daughter Sasha Colby and Keri Colby as well as Agaiotupu Viena, Jahnell Butler, Tepa Vaina, and moderator Tatiana Chanel.

"Jesus Changed My Life" - A Summer Kiki Storytelling Series ft. Cecilia Gentili & Joss Barton Prepare to laugh, cry, kiki, gasp and snap as we end day one with the raucous and revelatory stories and poems of Joss Barton & Cecilia Gentili in the second season of our summer kiki storytelling series!
Joss Barton is a writer, journalist, and spoken word performance artist exploring and documenting queer and trans* life, love, and liberation. She will be opening the series by sharing selected new poems from her forthcoming zine Goodbye To A Dream Believed.
Headlining this year will be activist, actor, author and storyteller Cecilia Gentili. Cecilia will be performing selections from her hit one woman show The Knife Cuts Both Ways which takes viewers into the wild, hilarious and poignant journey of how a ‘New York downtown transsexual sweetheart’ was made from an ugly Argentinean Litoral birthplace.
Joss and Cecilia will also dish and bitch on the complexities and realities of creating trans narratives and performing trans artistry on and off the stage.

Our Bodies, Our Choices A real talk conversation focused on the physicalities of our trans feminine journies, including what we have individually done or plan to do. The panel will provide personal insights and share stories about their own lived experiences navigating hormones, body modifications, beauty standards, surgery, and the controversial concept of "passability." We will open up portions of this conversation for the trans women and femme participants of color to join us in sharing their insights and perspectives. Mental Health, Coping & Stigma This conversation will feature trans clinicians and social work students of color, in conversation with trans women of color leaders as we focus on a discussion about mental health, stigma and coping strategies. Love & Dating: Doll Games The interactive game show will focus on the trans women of color and femmes of color participants, as they compete in virtual teams to answer frank, juicy and fun categories focused on the realities of dating, sex and love while being trans. Partcipants will get a chance to win prizes while listening to soundbytes, audio clips, answering questions and showcasing their well honed experiences and wisdom in this lively game show style conversation.
